For both cars divide the distance traveled by the time. That will give the speeds. Then compare the speeds.

Car A:

speed = (500 m) / (3.4 s) = 147 m/s

Car B:

speed = (750 m) / (4.8 s) = 156 m/s

Car B is faster.
