First, we have to ask ourselves what is a circumference? The circumference is the outside perimeter of a circle (in this case the button).
Then we have to ask ourselves what is a radius? The radius is the distance from the edge of the circle to the center.
Now, you can use the below formula to figure out the radius:
Radius = Circumference ÷ 2∏
∏ = 3.14 (please note, if the assignment has more numbers than 3.14 then you should use the full number they provide here or round Pi to what they suggest. 3.14 is generally accepted.
So,
Radius = 25.12 ÷ 2(3.14). Then you just do the calculations.
Step 1:
2 × 3.14 = 6.28
Step 2: (insert 6.28 into the formula for 2π.
Radius = 25.12 ÷ 6.28
25.12 ÷ 6.28 = 4
Therefore the radius is 4 millimeters
