Forcefriction = µk•Reaction. Since reaction is mg•cos5°
= µk•mg•cos5° this force acts up the slope.
Force down the slope = mgsin5º
Acceleration 'a' = net force along the slope ÷ mass of body (including snow boarder and all gear)
a = (mg•sin5° - µk•mg•cos5°)/m
a = (g•sin5° - µk•g•cos5°) [plugging in the values of g and μk could yield a numerical value]
