Hi Kassandra P.,
If f(0) = 2, the one possible solution for f(x) is f(x) = x + 2, then:
g(x) = f(-14-8x) = -14 - 8x + 2 = -12 - 8x,
but this is one of many possible solutions. We could just as easily have chosen f(x) = x2 + 2, f(0) = 2, but then:
g(x) = f(-14-8x) = (-14 - 8x)2 + 2 = 198 + 224x + 64x2,
and many more. But the simplest being the first equation.
I hope this helps, Joe.
