Something that often helped me with this was marking sections of the book that notated theme while reading that way I could just flip back through later without much re-reading. If you're looking for passages about Charlie's experiences after reading the book, you could skim for his name. Looking in the beginning could be good, as there is often a lot of character development early in novels, and pulling one passage from the middle where characters have developed more was a tactic I used in college to write papers. Do you have any quotes in mind?
