It is the equation of a straight liine, written in standard form. Some different forms for the equation of a straight line are:
y = mx+b slope-intercept form (m=slope, b=y-intercept) m = rise/run = (change in y) / (change in x)
y-y0 = m(x-x0) point-slope form (m=slope, (x0,y0) is a point (any point) through which the line passes)
Ax+By = C standard form
For your equation, y = -(6/7)x + (20/7) is the slope-intercept form (in my experience, slope-intercept form has been the most common form I've seen, but the important thing to remember is all the forms are equivalent).
