I started teaching as a high school English and ELD teacher about 17 years ago. After leaving the public sector, I taught English courses to international students from around the world as a teacher at an Intensive English Program on a college campus. Shortly after that, I was hired as a Director for a privately-owned English language program, and continued to teacher while also managing my admin duties. So, overall, I've taught English Language Learners (ELLs) as young as 5 and as old as 75. Most have been motivated by academic goals, but others were learning English as part of their professional training, military training, or just as personal development. Whether teaching students from Europe, Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East, it's always been fun and a reminder of how much we all really have in common.
Do you have experience with the adult English as a Second language learner ?
Yea, I have taught students from Laos, Cambodia , and China . I love to teach English . I have also taught English in China . I will be teaching a masters class in China next summer. I can teach you to speak English by a hands- on community outings to stores and the neighborhood. Learning English can be very challenging especially when you are the only one in your class or job . I have taught adult college students .

All Things English (plus a few other subjects!)
Yes. I have tutored a number of international college students who struggle with their writing. Three of these students needed assistance writing their Personal Statements for admission to graduate programs, applications for a PhD and law school. All three were accepted into the degree program they sought.
