Question

A blouse that is size x in country A is size s(x) in country B, where s(x)=x-3. A blouse that is size x in the country B is size t(x) in country C, where t(x)=x+1. Find a function f(x) that will convert blouse sizes in country A to blouse sizes in country C.

the mapping is f: x---> x-3 ---> (x-3)+1 = x-3+1 = x-2

so f(x) = x-2

Ex. Size 3 in country A is size 0 in country B which is size 1 in country C.

f(3) = 3-2=1

Size 5 in county A is size 2 in country B which is size 3 in country C

f(5) = 5-2=3
