x= your sales
If you earn less than $500 in sales, then your commission is 25% of your total sales.
So C(x) = ,25x, x<500
If you earn between $500 and $700 in sales, then you will earn $70 plus 35% of all of your total sales over $500
C(x) = 70 + .35(x-500), 500< x <700
If you earn more than $700 in sales, then you will earn $100 plus 55% of all of your total sales over $700
C(x) = 100 + .55(x-700), x>700
What was the trouble you had doing this?
