Do you have qualified tutors that specializes in tutoring children with a learning disability?

Dear Paulette:
Thank you for asking such great question!
WyzAnt does indeed have tutors that are certified in Special Education and have completed targeted graduate coursework and, or training on specific methods or curricula.
I know because I am one of them!
When I am asked, I offer to share a pdf of my current certificate and/or or direct them to the website for the GA PSC where they can pull my certificate directly from the source so that parents, guardians, or older students so can review my fields and ensure that I am mainstream ‘good standing’ with the GA BOE.
Always make sure that, when you email and/or speak with a prospective tutor you ask them what their background, experience, training, and certifications (for teachers that also tutor) are, how they plan to support your student’s so that they can acquire the skills they need to compensate for their disability.
Also check their reviews on WyzAnt, how long they have been contracting with the site, and even google them to see if they have profiles elsewhere and those also include reviews!
In learning,
Elisa
