The vertex form of the function is y = a(x - h)2 + k, where (h,k) is the vertex.
So, we have y = a(x - 1)2 + 3
Since (-2, -24) is on the graph, -24 = 9a + 3
9a = -27
a = -3
Equation: y = -3(x - 1)2 + 3
