I started with the parent function:
y=x
A vertical shift up 6 units would give the correct y intercept of 6. So I updated the equation to:
y=x+6
The slope wasn't correct to give the proper x intercept. Slope of 1 (6/6) meant that the x intercept was -6. Since I needed -10, rise over run would need to be 6/10, not 6/6. Reduced, 6/10=3/5.
The final equation is y=3/5x+6
