Forms have been part of HTML since the beginning. You can style forms and form elements with CSS. HTML5 added new attributes and methods you can define. You reference an element (by id, class or other tag) and update the attributes in CSS or Javascript. You can also reference an element and create a method or function in JavaScript on specific objects.
