Difference between CSS 2 and CSS 3?

The biggest difference between CSS 2 and CSS 3 is that CSS3 offers multiple modules opposed to the single page system that CSS2 was built on. Additionally, more browser support was implemented, the option for more than one background image, and new properties to work with the new background image feature. Amongst other smaller details, we were also given new attribute selectors, pseudo classes, support for special fonts, rounded borders, and grid / column options for the grid layout system.
