Dear Asked, (guess this is an older question?)
probably the appropriate question to ask is not, which plant has the "faster photosynthesis" but which plant can make most efficient use of resources to generate biomass?
It's got to be the water hyacinth, considering how its biomass can explode in appropriate conditions (it's highly invasive).
Now, move a step further down the line: knowing this, how could you utilize the nutrient collecting or nitrogen-fixing capacity of plant "X" in likely scenarios: augment an existing crop to produce more biomass; produce more of a specified product; be amenable to cultivation without being invasive, etc.? NOW, you're thinking like an entrepreneurial human, with ecological sensitivity!
--Disclaimer: I'm working on just such a scenario, as a hobbyist botanist. Contact me, "if seed-sterile triploid nitrogen-fixer" is a phrase which sets your juices running!
