What is the difference between macroeconometrics and microeconometrics?

Macroeconometrics studies empirically macroeconomic phenomena, while microeconometrics studies microeconomic phenomena. They both rely on same econometric and statistical foundations, although they analyze different data. In some cases, they both use completely same set of tools (usually applied in microeconometrics at first and then adapted to macroeconometrics).
