Light is not an effect of gravity. Light is an effect of the electromagnetic field.
The path that light travels is affected by gravity, and the speed at which light travels is the same as the speed at which gravitational waves travel. But other than that, gravity and light are not related.
Furthermore, gravity itself is not a force at all. Gravity is actually an apparent or fictitious force that is a simple consequence of the curvature of space and time, which is caused by the distribution of matter and energy in the universe.
"Matter and energy tell space and time how to curve. The curvature of space and time tells matter and energy how to move." -- John Wheeler (paraphrased)
