Physics is like the foundation to a house. It support the whole structure of technology. As example, we have pcs, cell pones and tv cameras, all of which utilize semiconductors in integrated circuits. None of these would exist were it not for the foundattional work done in solid state physics. Among these are the photoelectric effect, quantum physics and the Schroedinger eave equation, which explained the hydrogen specturm.
