The proper Arabic is written all in the same way; but there are different ways to write local dialects (slang)

Local dialects can be written too but they will be of less use to you. Modern Standard Arabic has a written form and it is what you find in Academia, newspapers, books and any other published work. You may learn a specific dialect but that dialect will only be useful within its local context

Hi! Written Arabic has been standardized and is, for the most part, uniform. There are different writing styles as in any language and levels of difficulty, however, it if you become literate in Arabic you would be able to read everything you would want to read. The way to start is to learn the alphabet!
