x = 1/(y+3)
x(y+3) = 1
y+3 = 1/x
y = 1/x - 3
OR Did you mean y = 1/x + 3
In that case
x = 1/y + 3
x - 3 = 1/y
(x-3)y = 1
y = 1/(x-3)
