Songbirds are birds that have vocal organs capable of various and elaborate sounds, or "songs." They are a branch of birds called "perching birds" or Passeriformes. Perching birds are birds that all have the same type of feet. They have 3 toes that point forward and one that points back, making it easy to clutch a branch to sit or sleep.
