Not to disagree with your teacher but I would not think of food webs communities. In my opinion, it is best to think of food webs as a diagram that shows what animals/plants are prey to other animals(sometimes plants as well).
For communities, I instead would think of animal's and plant's mutualistic relationships with each other. In this relationship, both animals/plants benefit from each other. Or I would think of commensalistic relationships where one individual benefits from another individual.
