I recommend working slowly and building a solid foundation in both HTML/CSS. Developing your skills, allows you to move into new technologies with a far better understanding and less frustrations. Any gaps left in your fundamentals will eventually slow your progression and make learning advanced material seem like a nightmare! Go slow and solidify your foundation, so that you can really become good at JS and not feel as if you're limping through.
