Are COBOL and Fortran still taught? If so, how are they used today?

I can't say for certain regarding FORTRAN but COBOL certainly is - but schools stopped teaching it for a while. However, as it is still in use extensively in government and corporation applications, there started to be a dearth of COBOL analysts available as dinosaurs like me retired out of the business. With literally billions of lines of code still in use, COBOL isn't going away any time soon.
