This is called tragic irony! It's a subset of irony in which a character may predict their own downfall. I believe this is the term you're looking for

There is a term used to describe this event... it is not “irony” nor is it “foreshadowing.” it is specific to the dialogue that is spoken in the story... when a person carelessly and UNKNOWINGLY speaks a terrible truth about themselves or indicates an event which is fated to happen to them. For instance: Star Wars Episode Two, Obiwan Kanobi says of Anakin Skywalker, in a complaining manner, “That boy will be the death of me.”
