two similar cubes have volume 3 cubic cm and 24 cubic cm respectively. if the length of smaller cube have length of 2cm, find the length of larger cube.

If an edge of the smaller cube is 2 cm, then its volume is 23, or 8 cubic cm. 
If the volume of the larger cube is 24 cm3, the its edge is the cube root of 24, or 2√3.

Ash, This is the second problem like this that you have asked. Both times the problems start with "two similar cubes" which is redundant since all cubes are similar! Are you sure you are typing the original problem exactly as it is written? Could the cubes really be rectangular prisms?
