Windows app to hold multiple items in clipboard?
I am looking for a simple [tag:gratis] [tag:windows] app that will extend the [tag:clipboard] to hold multiple items.
I don't need much, and would like to keep it simple. Just something that will extend the clipboard to hold 2 or more items. I do not want it to write the clipboard contents to non-volatile storage (e.g. hard drive) each time something is copied to the clipboard.
The app shouldn't affect normal operation of the clipboard (using it to copy-paste a single item).
I have a strong preference for [tag:portable] software, or at least something without and installer.
Must be compatible with [tag:windows-7].

To my knowledge, there is no official app by Microsoft you can download on Windows but there is a way to view what you added to your clipboard.
Here are some steps you can take:
- If you haven't already, go to your Windows settings, navigate to the "Clipboard" section, and enable "Clipboard history."
- Copy stuff using Ctrl+C; that will add it to the clipboard
- To view your items you've added to the clipboard, press the Windows Key+V.
- A list will show up. To add stuff from that clipboard into whatever needs it, just click it and then it will show up.
Hope this helps!

I highly suggest to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11. Microsoft no longer offers support for Windows 7, including important security and driver updates that may end up making certain necessary features or programs unusable and leaves you vulnerable to security breaches. Plus, on these newer versions, there is an easy answer to exactly what you're looking for, intigrated seamlessly right into the operating system.. It gives you access to your clipboard history, including screenshots or photos. To access your clipboard history, you click [Windows Key] + [V] and it pulls up a Window where you can easily select from your history.10/26/21
