In what ways did Aladdin (2019) deviate from the original animated film? Were these changes effective or not?

The live action Aladdin couldn't provide the same magic that the original animated film provided, so there had to be some changes. Robin Williams's character added a lot to the original movie and the use of animation was power in being able to illustrator some of his dialogue. Whether or not the changes were effective is purely subjective.
