Since the goal is to find the amount of each powder to use, let's create variables to represent each amount:
Let s be the amount of strawberry-flavored powder.
Let b be the amount of banana-flavored powder.
So we know that the total amount of powder is supposed to be 6, so right away that gives us one equation:
s + b = 6
We also know the amount of protein in one gram of each powder, so that will tell us how much protein will be in the final mixture.
4s will be the amount of protein in s grams of strawberry-flavored powder
And 3b will be the amount of protein in b grams of banana-flavored powder
Since the total amount of protein in the mixture is supposed to be 22, that gives us another equation:
4s + 3b = 22
So now you have the system of equations:
s + b = 6
4s + 3b = 22
