How to do a selective darkening of part of a photo in Lightroom?
I have a photo that has quite a distracting corner: if you divide it by the rule of thirds it's bit less than half of the bottom right corner. Can I use Lightroom to darken that corner? I don't know; maybe with something like a gradient from black to transparent?

Several ways:
- use the vignette tool in effects panel (will darken all four corners)
- use the graduated filter (middle icon, above basic dev tools); start just outside the corner you want to darken, then drag down toward center of image. Then you can tweak by moving where filter is set, and/or by making slider adjustments (exposure, contrast, etc)
- use the adjustment brush (far right icon, above basic dev. tools); as with grad filter, you can tweak adjustment after you click on the image with it
