Yes you should really get out of your comfort zone and try the camp. It'll will definitely be a learning experience and you shouldn't be embarrassed if you make mistakes. That's only way you'll get better if you work on things your not good at.
You can ask your parent to stay for the camp if you feel nervous. Doing camps by myself really gave me the confidence I needed to travel on my own when I got older. So they can be a great thing
