CSS/JS: How can I make a <div> to be displayed only once its elements are fully loaded and, until it happens, display a spinner inside it instead?

If I understand the question correctly, you'd set the div to display: none; then create a few short functions in javascript. One function displays the spinner, one function hides the spinner, and a third function using setTimeout() that switches between the two once the data for the elements is fully loaded.
