How do I export JPEGs from Lightroom without the grey/black box around each picture?

How do I export JPEGs from Lightroom without the grey/black box around each picture?This is really frustrating me. I know there has to be a way to do this.

The normal export process doesn't add borders. This might happen if you're exporting from the slideshow module.

Make sure you're in the Library module (hit "g" key to get there). Do you see a border around the image there? If so, you can use the crop tool to crop the border. Then go to File: Export to export image.
