4x²-9=0 (this is the difference of two squares)

(a²-b²)=(a+b)(a-b) in general

4x²-9=0

(2x+3)(2x-3)=0

2x+3=0

2x=-3

x=-3/2

2x-3=0

2x=3

x=3/2
