This kind of problem is easiest if you figure out how to find one of the dimensions at a time, for example, the height; once you get that answer, you can use it to get the other (the width). In this case, the "aspect ratio" tells you that the width is 16/9 times the height. The width, height, and diagonal form a triangle, so you use Pythagoras' formula (d2 = w2 + h2) to find the solution. Instead of using "w" in the formula, try substituting "(h×16/9)".
