Add specific page of Visio diagram into Word document?
I've got a Visio 2010 document that has multiple pages, with one workflow on each page. I'm trying to insert each of the workflows into a word 2013 document. I'm trying to do it as a direct link so I only need to update the Visio diagram to update the word doc as well. However, whenever I try to link to the Visio document, it's only inserting the first page, and I cant' find any option to add any of the other pages.Anyone know how I can insert any of the other pages in the Visio diagram into my Word doc?
This is a fancy copy and paste operation where you paste Link as a Microsoft Visio Drawing object. Only the page you want to appear will show up but the entire Visio file is linked.
Open the Visio drawing you want to link. If it's a multiple-page drawing, display the page that you want to appear in the other document, and then save the drawing to a specific location.
Only the page you display appears in the other document.
Make sure that nothing on the drawing is selected, and then on the Visio Home tab, click Copy (Ctrl+Q) to copy the entire drawing, (shapes on this and other drawing pages, backgrounds, page size).
Leave the Visio program open, and open the destination document/file.
Place the cursor in a blank paragraph and then click that program's command for linking objects. (In Microsoft Office system programs, click Home > Paste > Paste Special.)
In the Paste Special dialog box, select Paste Link, as Microsoft Visio Drawing Object and then click OK.
The drawing you copied appears in the document, linked to the original Visio file.
