No one is ever going to 100% agree on anything someone above them might say, think or do. Think of your parents, in your house they are the law. Do you agree with them? Do you support their decisions? Why or why not? Take it on a bigger scale, it is the same way with city council members and the mayor, there will be differences of opinion. Is that a bad thing? No, I don't think so.
As a mayor, or any higher level position you will want people that have a difference of opinion because it will challenge you, it will make you see all sides of the problem and it will help to ensure that you are doing everything you can for whatever the cause is.
If everyone agreed, where would the opposition be? Who would speak out for the people or the cause that is getting left behind? No one would and so those people or those causes will become farther behind.
Having a difference of opinion is good. Put this in perspective in your own life. Do your friends always agree with you or do some of them disagree? Does that make them any less of a friend? No. It doesn't. It should work the same way in this scenario.
