The slopes of parallel lines are the same. Using the equation y= -3x-2, -3 is the slope in this equation, so that would also be the slope of the parallel line.
m=-3
From the point (-2,0) x=-2 and y=0
Plugging these values into the equation y=mx+b
0=-3(-2)+b
Simplify
0=6+b
Subtract 6 from both sides
0-6=6+b-6
-6=b
The general equation of a line is
y=-3x-6
