Hi Tutor,

me and my daughter has a problem to ask you help. 

 

Question: 

 

Rikki's locker number is a two digit number.  the number is less than 70 and is an even multiple of 10.  What is three numbers could be Rikki's locker number?

It seems as though you either don't have, or didn't post the complete question. Two-digit numbers that are evenly divisible by ten and are less than 70 are: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. That makes six possible locker numbers.

A multiple of 10 is any number that is equal to 10 times a number.

 

For instance, 20 is a multiple of 10, since 10 times 2 is 20.

 

An even number is any number that can be divided by 2 on a calculator and not equal a decimal. Is 12 even? What about 13?

 

To find even multiples of 10 less than 70, try multiplying 10 by some of the smallest even numbers you know. This should give you some answers to your daughter's problem!
