ere is how to solve via process of substitution
Isolate the x in 6x+5=-20
minus 5 from eaxh side
6x=-25
divide each side by 6
x=-25/6

Then substitute -25/6 in the next equation for x
2(-25/6)+2y=6
Isolate the y
-25/3+2y=6
add 25/3 to each side
2y= 43/3
divide each side by 2
y=43/6

Your solution for solving this system of equations is
x=-25/6     y=43/6

You should always check to see if the solutions are correct
All you do is sustitute the answer back into each equation to see if it is true
6(-25/3)+5=-20
2(-25/3)+2(43/6)=6
