simplify 4i (12-7i) simplify ( 1+4i)(2-3i)

Was doing some extra practice and ive never seen these two problems before what do I do from here

4i ( 12 - 7i)  Use distributive property

48 i - 28i²    i² = -1

48 i + 28

28 + 48i

 

(1 + 4i)(2 - 3i)    Use FOIL

2 - 3i + 8i - 12i²

2 + 5i + 12

17 + 5i
