Can some one please check my work on this problem? The Differnce between two complimentery angles is 22 degrees. Determine the measure of the two angles

The Difference between two complimentary angles is 22 degrees. Determine the measure of the two angles.

x= the measure of one angle

90-x = the measure of the second angle

x-(90-X)=22

2x-90=22

22+90=112

x=112/2

x=56

90-x=90-56=30

 

answers are 56 and 34

 

and will this be a good enough explanation to present with my answers?

Cynthia, it looks great! I would make one TINY change:

 

where you have 22 + 90 = 112, make it 2x = 112, otherwise your teacher will ask why the x disappeared in that line and then came back. :-)
