A linear equation, an equation that has a graph that is a straight line, must has two variable. This equation has only one, "x."
It is not a linear equation.

Mark M.
So why did you ask the question?

So it is a linear equation? I don't know what linear equation have to look like to be true?

A linear equation has two variables - usually an x and a y - and is of the first degree - all exponents are one.
One form of a linear equation is the slope intercept form: y = mx + b.
Another form is the standards form: Ax + By = C.
If a given equation can be transformed into one of the forms above, it is a linear equation.
The word linear means that the graph of the equation is a line (straight).
