Amulet 2 is a great read!

Amulet 2 takes place in the fictional fantasy realm ALLEDIA where Book 1 took place in Brooklyn, NY

Timing could be considered a year after book one Alledia is a combination of both steampunk and fantasy/medieval era, mythical creatures, castles but advanced tech.

Main Characters Emily (brown hair red hoodie) 12-14 years old her brother Navin 9-10 years he is blond,funny, loyal to his sister and although plays around he is able to find solutions hold his own, their Mother who has been poisoned, Leon Redbeard( Humanoid, patient kind and mentor and the Elf Prince (Trellis) he wears armor, pointy ears, pale and has his own amulet. Angry, mean and mysterious.

Problem: Mom is poisoned must find antidote.

Emily who finds the Amulet is known as a stonekeeper, the issue is the negative influence the Amulet can have on the Keeper. After an attack in Book 1 Emilys mother falls ill from poison. Emily and Leon Redbeard who is a humanoid fox warrior and Emilys mentor along with her brother Navin are trying to find the antidote while learning to control and resist the Amulets influence.

2 main Events

1. They travel to Kanalis, where both people and animals are mutated due to dark magic, they have to overcome scenarios to find a way to heal her mom.2.She fights the Elf Prince who also has an amulet and is influenced by its powers, there she realizes that the Elf prince might not be so bad but instead the power of the amulet is the real danger. Emily, Leon and Navin find the antidote, Emily learns to trust herself more and how to control the amulets power.
