The edges of an ice cube are melting at 6cm/min. How fast is the volume and surface area changing when each edge is 25cm.

V=s³ v=volume, s= length of one side

dv/dt=(dv/ds)*(ds/dt)=3s² *ds/dt =rate of change of volume

A=6s²

dA/dt=dA/ds*(ds/dt)=12s*ds/dt =rate of change of the area

use s=25cm and ds/dt=6cm/min and you can calculate dv/dt and dA/dt
