Greetings! Lets clarify this shall we ?
Pre-Calculus is more of an extension from College Algebra with a few more concepts. It is also a prerequisite to Calculus. It comes after College Algebra and before Trigonometry. Calculus is the course where Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry concepts are used to solve various problems. This is the reason why Calculus holds a lot of weight.
I hope this helped!
