1. a. If you have a population of 80 individuals where the frequency of AA is 2/5, Aa is 2/5, and aa is 1/5, find pe and qe the frequency of each allele in the egg generation.

b. Find the frequency of A in an egg generation, pe . What does this tell you about the frequency of A in the next egg generation? (This is a formula, not a number, you need to derive it).

Dominant Allele (A) = p,
Recessive Allele (a)= q
(p+q)2 = p2 + 2pq+ q2= 1
Individuals (2 alleles): 0.4+ 0.4+ 0.2= 1
Egg generation (single allele):
P=0.4+0.2=0.6
q=0.4
p + q =1
