Nursing students can get help here!
I hate to answer a question with a question, however I am a little confused. Are you looking to calculate BMI or are you looking to calculate the percentage that the patient is overweight? The percentage that the patient is overweight is calculated by taking the amount that he needs to lose and divide by the ideal weight then multiply by 100 to get the percentage. By my calculation, the patient is approximately 11% overweight.
If you are trying to calculate BMI. You need to convert the weight to Kg and the height to meters. To calculate BMI, you divide the weight in Kg by the height in meters2. The patient is 102.7 Kg and 1.93 meters. So, the answer would be 102.7/1.932 which is 102.7/3.72= a BMI of 27.6
I hope this was helpful
