That is correct. However, there are instances where keeping previews can be helpful. Example: pre-generating 1:1 previews allows faster loading when flipping through a catalog quickly. This is especially crucial when you have a large sluggish catalog. If you back up these previews you'll find a faster response if you ever need to reload your catalog from a backup.
Are lrprev files in Lightroom just previews that I do not need to back up?
In Adobe Lightroom, it is my understanding that the .lrprev files it creates, are only previews of pictures, but that these can be regenerated from the real pictures in case of disaster.Is that correct?
