Each jurisdiction has a formula that takes into account how much each parent earns and how much time each parent spends with the child(ren) during visitations. Usually, there is a family court website where you can input this information and it will calculate it for you. You can always negotiate your own terms, but no parent can give up the child's right to support as that belongs to the child by law.
